About Fourwords Solutions
We acknowledge with respect the Lekungen peoples on whose traditional territory we reside, and the Songhees, Esquimalt and WSÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
We use the term “Survivor” as an inclusive term for anyone who has experienced sexual assault. We respect each individual’s right to choose how they wish to identify, and recognize that not all people who have experienced sexual assault identify as a Survivor.
Our Purpose
Fourwords Solutions is a BC based social enterprise committed to improving access to forensic evidence collection and care for survivors of sexual assault in rural, remote, and under-served communities. We are passionate about systemic change and believe circumstance, nor background should determine someone’s access to care.
Fourwords Solutions exists alongside the system, not as a replacement for it. We offer an additional option through the paceKit, supporting partner organizations and contributing to the policy conversations that determine how and where care is accessed.
In everything we do, we seek to reduce harm.
FOUNDERFourwords Solutions was founded in 2024 by Chloe Hunt, drawing on years of engagement in the gender-based violence sector and two-plus years examining self-collection internationally.
That work has involved sustained engagement with academics and medical practitioners in Australia and the UK, legal professionals and law-enforcement experts, and the communities and front-line services experiencing the greatest barriers to accessing care in Canada.
The organization is shaped by the needs of communities, not the other way around.
